A striking vintage statement coat by American designer Donald Brooks, presented in soft cream beige vanilla leather with a dramatic white fur front. Structured shoulders and a distinctive V shaped detail create a sculptural silhouette with unmistakable 1980s maximalist character. Acquired by its original owner at Saks, likely in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Evelyn recalls an original purchase price of approximately $5,000 and estimates she wore the coat only three or four times. It presents in excellent condition. Evelyn reports no tears, wear, or stains in the sateen lining, and it appears exceptionally well preserved.
